Understanding Emotions

Workshop Overview

Emotions are a natural and important part of being human, yet they are often misunderstood or seen as something to control or avoid. How we respond to our emotions can significantly influence how we experience challenges, relationships and everyday situations.

The Understanding Emotions workshop explores the purpose of emotions and how they influence our thoughts, behaviour and decision-making. Rather than viewing emotions as problems, participants are invited to see them as valuable signals that can provide insight into personal needs, actions and reactions.

A practical workplace wellbeing workshop, this session helps employees develop greater emotional awareness and learn how to cultivate more positive and uplifting emotional experiences in everyday life, rather than only reacting to difficult emotions.

Through guided reflection and practical exercises, participants learn to notice emotional patterns, understand what emotions are signalling and gently shift their relationship with their emotional experience. This supports clearer thinking, improved communication and a more balanced, positive and grounded experience at work and beyond.
